What this career test tells you
This test measures interests: the kinds of work you would enjoy doing. It sorts them into six broad types, known as Holland codes. Your strongest three form a code such as SAE or RCI, and your whole profile is compared with interest ratings for 907 occupations from the O*NET database.
The result is a list of places to look. It does not rate your ability, and it cannot tell you what you will be good at or which employers will hire you. Skills, health, location and money all matter too, so use your matches as a starting point for reading and conversation.
Before you start
- Answer for how much you would enjoy the work, even if you have never tried it or lack the training.
- Leave pay and status out of it. You can weigh those later.
- Go with your first reaction. There are no right answers.
